Bond Approved For Snow Hill High, Ground Breaking Set For January

Posted: Updated:

SNOW HILL, Md. - The multi-million dollar renovation project for Snow Hill high school moves forward.

On Tuesday, Worcester County commissioners approved a bond for the $49 million project. Next up, groundbreaking, which school officials say is slated for later this month.

On top of new athletic fields and classrooms, principal Tom Davis say once the project is complete, one major change could help students stay comfortable throughout the seasons.

"The HVAC system is going to be improved because on days like this, the first thing I was thinking when I came to school is get up with my custodial staff to find out what rooms are cold because of the age of the building," said Davis.

The project took the school district 10 years to put together.
