Salisbury Man Accused Of Burglarizing Home For Copper Pipes

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars, after he allegedly stole copper pipes from an unoccupied house.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Monday, around 3:30 PM, a deputy arrested 48-year-old Troy Conners. Police say an investigation showed that Conners had opened the crawl space of the house on the 6000 block of Diamondback Drive, went inside without permission, and cut off several sections of copper pipe from underneath the home. Conners reportedly sold the pipe to a local recycling center.

He was charged with 1st degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, and theft under $1,000. Conners is being held at the Detention Center on $30,000 bond.
