WICOMICO CO., Md. - A man who robbed the PNC Bank on Civic Avenue in Salisbury last year will spend 13 years behind bars. On March 21, 2013, now 43-year-old Gary Mitchell, gave the teller a note stating that he was robbing the bank, he would harm them if they didn't comply.

The Salisbury man said not to pull the alarm, give any marked money, dye packs or tracking devices.  However, along with the stack of money, the teller did give a tracking device which Mitchell didn't take. He fled with money and was found by police smoking crack cocaine shortly after the robbery.

Mitchell is a career offender with two prior federal bank robbery convictions, one in Maryland and the other in Delaware.
