Posted: Updated:

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - This weekend, UMES opens it's doors to local school children, and ALL of them are welcomed.

The university is hosting the 17th Annual "Take a Kid to the Game" Saturday, January 11, as the Hawks take on Norfolk State University.

Up to 10 children who are 12 and younger will enjoy the game for free with the purchase of just one adult ticket.

"This game day experience is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship that can be demonstrated on the playing field," said Keith Davidson, athletic director for the Hawks.

The women tip off at 2 p.m. and the men follow at 4 p.m.

Tickets are online at umestickets.com.
