VA Gov-Elect Announces A Dozen-Plus Appointments

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gov.-elect Terry McAuliffe has announced a raft of additional appointments to his administration.
    
The appointments announced Monday include his counsel, legislative director, policy adviser and about a dozen more.
    
Carlos Hopkins is leaving as deputy city attorney in Richmond to become McAuliffe's counsel. His legislative director will be Felix Sarfo-Kantanka Jr., who previously served as special assistant for policy to Gov. Tim Kaine. The Democrat's policy adviser will be Anna Healy James. She has previously served as a special assistant to Gov. Mark Warner, also in the area of policy.
    
Brian Coy was named press secretary while Tracy Retchin is McAuliffe's policy adviser.
    
McAuliffe also named deputy secretaries for natural resources, transportation and health and human resources.
