New Take On Newlyweds, Wicomico Bridal Expo

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. - A new take on newlyweds this year at the annual bridal expo.  WMDT spoke with vendors on hand at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, who tell us this year, there was more of an effort to also cater wedding day services to same-sex couples looking to tie the knot.

Speaking of numbers, apparently the expo had a great turnout.  We're told they say the most brides in years, all looking to make planning the big day a little easier.

Tammy Patrick-Cebula, producer of the bridal expo, says "this year we're starting to see everyone getting excited and having the big weddings again, so it's very exciting.  We've got a lot of pre-bookings, so you can tell this is going to be a big season."

Organizers say in just one hour at the expo, 250 brides made their way through.  We're told it's the highest volume they've seen in about four years.
