EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say they are searching for one suspect after an attempted robbery yesterday.

According to reports, at approximately 12:24 AM, a 7-11 store on North Washington Street reported to police that a black male wearing a mask entered the store and demanded money from the store clerk. Police say the store clerk did not give the robber any cash and the robber exited the store.

Police say after an investigation, they found that a black male about six feet tall, with a stocky build, entered the store wearing a black ski mask, a maroon sweatshirt with "OKLAHOMA" printed on the front, dark colored sweat pants, black shoes, and was also carrying a blue bag. Video surveillance reportedly shows that the male store clerk came around to the counter and the robber placed his bag on the counter demanding money. The male store clerk was reportedly unable to open the register and the robber ran out of the store.

Detectives say they believe the robber left the area in a vehicle, and no one was injured during this crime. The investigation is reportedly ongoing and police are urging anyone with information about this crime to come forward and contact Detective Shayne McKinney at 410-822-1111.
