DE Police Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. - Delaware State Police say they are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a 26-year-old female in the parking lot of a Holly Oak church last evening.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday, January 3rd, at approximately 8:10 PM as the 26-year-old female victim exited her parked car in the parking lot of the Holly Oak Calvary United Methodist Church and was approached by a black male suspect. Police say the suspect produced an unknown type handgun, pointing it at the female victim's head demanding property and cash. The female victim reportedly did not comply and the suspect fled on foot empty handed towards West Holly Oak Road. Police say there were no injuries as a result of this incident.
