DelDOT Crews Still Out Working On Roadways

Posted: Updated:

DELAWARE - Crews are still working to keep roads clear in Delaware, but officials are asking motorist to stay off the roadways whenever possible.

DelDOT crews are dealing with drifting snow because of high winds, and low temperatures across the state. Officials say these conditions are causing their road salt to be less effective, meaning that many primary and secondary roads statewide are covered in thin layers of packed snow and ice.

DelDOT has more than 400 men and women our working, treating the roadways with salt and plowing the snow. Officials are encouraging residents to stay home, and off the roads if possible to make it safer for both crews and drivers.

DelDOT has 135 live traffic cameras available throughout the state, check them out here.
