HEBRON, Md. - A Hebron man is behind bars, after allegedly grabbing his daughter by the throat and throwing her to the floor in Hebron.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Thursday, just after 8:00 PM, a deputy arrived at the home on the 8000 block of Hawthorn Lane, for reports of a disturbance.
An investigation showed that 43-year-old Barry Hyland had grabbed his daughter by the throat, and threw her down. Police say injuries on the victim, along with other people at the residence corroborated the account.
Hyland was arrested, and charged with 2nd degree assault. He is being held at the Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
