Walmart Recalls Card Table And Chair Sets

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - A large retailer is recalling a card table and chairs set, that has apparently been linked to finger amputations and fall hazards.

Walmart says they are recalling their Mainstays brand five piece card table and chairs set, sold at the retailer between May 2013 and November 2013 for around $50. Customers are advised to immediately stop using the table and chairs, because the chairs can unexpectedly collapse, causing a fall hazard, and a risk of finger injury, including amputation.

Walmart says they have received reports of 10 injuries from the product, including, one finger amputation, and three finger tip amputations. Those who purchased the item should return the entire set to Walmart for a full refund.
