SALISBURY, Md. - Police are looking for a man who apparently robbed a man in his home, in Salisbury, on Friday night. Salisbury Police say on Friday afternoon around 1:00 PM, an 87-year-old man had a young man rake leaves at his house on the 700 block of Jefferson Street, and then paid him for his services.
According to the report, around 10:40 PM, the young man came back, and knocked on the 87-year-old's door, when he saw who it was, he opened the door. Police say the suspect demanded money from the victim and went into the home, holding a blunt object in his hand, when the victim resisted, the suspect hit him in the back of the head with the object. The suspect then reportedly ripped the pocket off of the victim's pants while stealing his wallet, before fleeing on foot.
The 87-year-old victim didn't require any medical attention. The suspect is described as a 20-year-old black male, 6' tall, with a thin build, light facial hair, small braids in his hair, wearing a black hoody, and a dark colored toboggan style hat, seen in the area earlier in the day, carrying a rake.
