Troopers Investigate Armed Robbery At Wilmington Gas Station

WILMINGTON, Del. -Troopers are investigating a reported armed robbery.

Police say the incident occurred late Sunday afternoon at the BP Gas Station located on Lancaster Pike west of Wilmington. According to authorities, the suspect entered the business and confronted a male employee who was behind the sales counter. The suspect then displayed an unknown type rifle and demanded money. The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled on foot towards the Lancaster Court Apartments. No injures were reported.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 20-25 years of age, 5'07" tall, 150-160 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweat pants, and was armed with an unknown type of rifle.
