Police Across Delmarva Push For New Year's Safety, Sober Drivers

Posted: Updated:

DELMARVA - Police are urging Delmarva residents to designate a sober driver for those planning to toast to the new year this week.

According to the Easton Police Department, in 2012, there were 1,000 additional traffic-related fatalities versus the previous year, and 72 percent were in the first three months after the start of the new year.

Police say additional officers will be on patrol enforcing impaired driving laws.
