Two Suspects Sought After Seaford Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:

SEAFORD, Del. - Police are looking for two suspects, after they reportedly broke into a Seaford home on Thursday night.

Delaware State Police around 11:25 PM, they received a call from the resident of a home on Hearns Pond Road saying a man had just broken into her home, by forcing the front door open, and confronted her in her bedroom.

According to the report, the suspect, dressed in a black mask and hat with all black clothing, then pointed a small handgun at her, and told her not to move, before fleeing from the room, then the home. The resident could reportedly hear the suspect speaking to another man outside.

Police say the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a 21-year-old male's bedroom, who wasn't home at the time, before fleeing. The 40-year-old woman, and a 18-year-old woman who was sleeping in a separate bedroom, were both uninjured in the incident.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective S. Kelly at 302-856-5850 ext. 219 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted to the DSP Mobile Crime App, texting DSP to CRIMES (274637), or by visiting the TipSubmit website.
