Milford Woman Charged With Identity Theft

MILFORD, Del. - A Milford woman has been charged by Police, after she apparently used someone else's identity to take out a loan.

Milford Police an investigation into an April 2013 incident, where a 55-year-old woman, who lived out of state, says her identity was used to get a bank loan, which was then deposited in her account, and then removed by the suspect later in the month.

Police say their investigation showed that 25-year-old Charde McMillian posed as the victim, secured the loan over the internet while living in Milford, deposited it in the money in the victim's account, and then removed it and deposited it into her own account, before spending the money.

On December 19th, Milford PD say they arrested and charged McMillian with identity theft, theft $1,500 or greater, and 2nd degree forgery. McMillian was released on $15,000 bond.
