One Arrested, One Sought In Salisbury Attempted Armed Robbery

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man was arrested on attempted armed robbery charges in Wicomico County.

Salisbury Police say on December 22nd, officers responded to a home on E. Church Street for a report of an attempted armed robbery. An investigation showed that someone had knocked on the door, and identified themselves as the Police, but when the resident opened the door, the suspect pulled him onto the porch, while a second suspect hit the victim in the head and demanded money at gunpoint.

The victim yelled for help during the struggle, and a friend came out of the house, at which point the two suspects fled, according to the report. The victim was didn't required medical attention, and nothing was reportedly stolen during the incident. Police say a witness told Officers that one of the suspects was a regular in the neighborhood, and was identified by detectives.

On Wednesday, officers arrested 18-year-old Tavon Tull, and charged him with attempted armed robbery, 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, and 4th degree burglary. Tull was released to the custody of Central Booking.

Police are still looking for a second suspect, described as a black male, 20-years-old, 5' 8" tall, with a thin build, wearing all dark clothing in possession of a dark colored handgun.
