MILLSBORO, Del. - A Lincoln man is behind bars, after he apparently threw a large amount of drugs from his vehicle while running from Police.

Delaware State Police say on Tuesday, around 9:10 PM, a Trooper attempted to pull over a 2001 Cadillac Seville, after in didn't use turn signal when turning onto Wharton Street from West Dupont Boulevard, but instead of stopping, the car continued onto Houston Street. Police say the Trooper temporarily lost sight of the vehicle, but was able to catch up with it in a parking lot off Houston Street, blocking its exit, as it tried to pull out.

The Trooper ordered the driver, 35-year-old Donald Hester, out of the vehicle,  who was then arrested. A search of the area, reportedly revealed two plastic grocery bags, one with 2,292 bags, totaling more than 34 grams of heroin, while the other had 119 grams of marijuana. Police say during a search of Hester's car, they found 46 more grams of marijuana, and more than $2,300 cash. Hester also reportedly had more than $1,900 cash in his pants pocket.

Hester was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal a lane change, and driving at an unreasonable speed. He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on $65,802 bond.
