Woman Charged With Stealing From Delmar Motel

DELMAR, Md. - A Delmar woman is accused of stealing deposits and property from a motel she was working at, and selling the items to a pawn shop.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on December 20th, 42-year-old Tressa Lynn Sample, an employee of the Delmar motel took two night deposits, totaling over $1,000. They also alleged that she that she removed other property of the motel on Ocean Highway, and sold it at a local pawn store.

Sample was arrested, and charged with theft over $1,000. She was released on her own Personal Recognizance, after an initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner.
