Salvation Army "Stuffs The Truck" For Hungry Delmarva Families - 47 ABC - Delmarva's Choice

Salvation Army "Stuffs The Truck" For Hungry Delmarva Families

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Salvation Army was out collecting food for needy families Saturday.

The Salvation Army teamed up with local restaurant "Pepper's Tavern" for a stuff the truck event in front of the Super Fresh in West Ocean City.

WMDT spoke to one man donating food on why he gives back.

"I give because it makes me feel good...it makes me feel good, it makes other people feel good.  And what better Christmas present can you give than that?," says George Lenz of Berlin.

When our crew drove by again this afternoon, it looked like the Salvation Army was well on its way to stuffing the truck.

All of the food will go to families in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties.
