PITTSVILLE, MD. - Two teenagers were arrested on Friday morning, after apparently damaging mailboxes and trash cans.

Maryland State Police say around 12:55 AM, with assistance from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, took a 13 and a 14-year-old male into custody on Old Ocean City Road in Pittsville near Sixty Foot Road.

Authorities say they damaged over 17 mailboxes, trash cans, and lawn ornaments, and estimate the damages at just under $1,000.

The teens were arrested, charged with malicious destruction of property, and each turned over to the custody of their parents, pending a court hearing. Due to the late hour of the incident there are possible more victims.
