Authorities say the second fire broke out about 2 p.m. Thursday in a home on Tamara Circle in Newark. A body was found inside the split-level home by firefighters. Damage was estimated at $100,000.

Both bodies were taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office. The causes of both fires are under investigation.
