OCEAN CITY, Md. - Two people were rushed to the hospital after being injured during a kitchen fire at a local restaurant.

Ocean City Fire Department says on Thursday, around 12:00 PM, they received a call about two employees being burned during a flash fire of a gas stove in the kitchen at Seacrets on 49th Street and Coastal Highway.

When crews arrived they say they didn't find a fire. The two employees were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, but were later transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Ocean City Fire Marshal Captain Josh Bunting says the fire has been ruled as accidental. There was reportedly no damage to the structure of the building. The investigation will be completed by the Ocean City Fire Marshal's Office.

According to officials at Seacrets, the bar will remain open Thursday night, however; the restaurant is not expected to open until Friday morning.
