Wicomico County Officials Propose Capital Budget Spending

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md. - Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt is proposing some big ideas for capital budget spending.

The county's Vice President, Bob Culver, says some immediate goals include construction of a new Bennett Middle School, and updates to the old court house.

Culver says another item up for discussion is an "energy to gasification plant" at the Wicomico County landfill, which could cost at least $70 million, but it would not happen for a long time.

Culver says the budget is more of a "wish list," and some of the ideas may not go forward for a few years.
