LAUREL, Del. - The saga of the Laurel Education Association and the Laurel School District continues.
Parents, community members and teachers are furious about administrator salaries, which they believe are far too high considering the financial bind the district is in.
Wednesday evening, board members are expected to vote to renew the contracts of district administrators --something community members hope to prevent.
Meanwhile, teacher contract negotiations are still at an impasse, and the community is urging Superintendent John Ewald to call off arbitration and meet at the bargaining table again. They're asking that Ewald serve on the negotiating committee.
