WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. - Police have arrested a Salisbury man, they say is responsible for assaulting a loss prevention employee at a mall in West Ocean City last week.

According to reports, during the December 10th incident, a member of loss prevention for one of the stores had tried to stop an alleged shoplifter, but when confronted, the suspect refused, got into their lime green Kia Soul, and fled, reportedly hitting the security guard in the process.

Worcester County Bureau of Investigation says during their investigation, they received numerous tips, leading to the December 16th arrest of 33-year-old Mark Donoway Jr., in Wicomico County.

Donoway was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, theft, and multiple traffic violations. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
