Two St. Michaels Residents Behind Bars On Drug Charges

EASTON, Md. - Two St. Michaels residents were arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop in Talbot County on Friday.

Easton Police say their Narcotics Unit were investigating 23-year-old Joshua Caldwell and 20-year-old Ashlee Schultz, for transporting and selling drugs in the town. During that investigation, they received information about the two driving on Ocean Gateway, with narcotics, to a business.

Detectives stopped the vehicle, and say a search of the vehicle, turned up 11 packets of methamphetamine, totaling 5.5 grams, 7 packets of cocaine, totaling 3.5 grams, 2 methylphenidate pills, $82.00 cash, and 2 cell phones.

Both Caldwell and Schultz were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of methylphenidate.

They are each being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
