CRISFIELD, Md. - Police say they have filed more theft charges against a Crisfield accountant. Maryland State Police say on Friday, they additionally charged Chris Sterling, CPA PA, with two counts of theft over $1,000. Sterling runs an accountant firm in Crisfield.

MSP say during their on-going investigation of Sterling, they found that he had stolen $5,400 from Somers Cove Marina's checking account, during July 2011, while he was their accountant. The money was apparently used to pay the IRS for back payroll taxes fro another client of Sterling's.

Maryland State Police first arrested Sterling in August, after a victim told them that his accountant of 10 years, Sterling, forged over 93 checks, of his money to the tune of over $56,000. Sterling was arrested again in September, this time, Police accused him of forging 56 checks, totaling more than $23,600, from the Liberty Rock Church between December 2010 and August 2013.

After Friday's arrest, Police are holding Sterling behind bars on $25,000 bond.
