WMDT 47 News - Tuesday, volunteers put in time to put a smile on the faces of seniors across Maryland's Eastern Shore. "Home Instead Senior Care" teamed up with local non-profits and Delmarva residents over the last month to collect gifts for the elderly in Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties.
The program is called "Be a Santa to a Senior" and it can make all of the difference to those who look forward to it each year. "For us, it's really heart warming. Again, we deal with a lot of people who as I said are needy and lonely, and this is the one time of year we can see a smile on their face," said Claude Lewis, Owner of Home Instead Senior Care.
Organizers tell us, contributors who donated went above and beyond this year.
