SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars on kidnapping and assault charges, after allegedly taking a woman from Salisbury residence.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says a Deputy responded to Rose Street after they say 34-year-old Patrick Corbin went to a home, assaulted two people, and left with one of their vehicles. As the Deputy was investigating the incident, they found out that Delmar Police were dealing with Corbin on E. East Street, where he was reportedly causing a disturbance.

The Deputy then arrived at that scene and found out that Corbin had forcibly taken an adult female from the Rose Street home, to the E. East Street scene. According to the report, the Deputy attempted to arrest Corbin, but he put up a struggle, until the Deputy was eventually able to get the handcuffs onto Corbin, and put him into the patrol car. The Deputy says that once inside, Corbin started kicking the windshield of the patrol car, and caused substantial damage.

Once at the Sheriff's Office, Corbin reportedly actively attempted to assault the deputy who was attempting to get him into a holding cell. Police say throughout the incident, Corbin made repeated statements that he was going to kill all involved in the incident, including the law enforcement officers.

Corbin was charged with kidnapping, 2nd degree assault, resisting arrest, theft of a motor vehicle, and malicious destruction of property. He is being held at the Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
