TAYLORS ISLAND, Md. - Two boaters were rescued from their vessel on Monday night, on the Chesapeake Bay, near Taylors Island.
Maryland State Police say their Trooper 7 helicopter assisted the Dorchester County Fire/EMS Services, after their boats weren't able to get to the boat due to low tide. The boat was stranded on a sand bar near the shore line in the Barren Island Gap of the Chesapeake Bay.
Officials say they hoisted the occupants off the boat, then dropped them at the Taylor Cove Marina, where EMS personnel was waiting to assist. Both people rescued from the boat, refused any further care.
