SALISBURY, Md. - A fire at a car dealership in Salisbury, has been ruled as accidental, after leaving behind more than $100,000 in damages.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal says the blaze broke out inside a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer around 12:20 AM on Tuesday, and was discovered by a Salisbury Police Officer, who was passing by Boulevard Motor Sales on N. Salisbury Boulevard, on patrol. The single alarm fire reportedly took 15 firefighters from three Salisbury departments, 20 minutes to control.

Officials say the fire started inside the SUV that was parked inside of a 40' x 40' metal building, and has been ruled accidental, because of a battery charging operation. DFM K. Travers told WMDT the form of charging wasn't unusual, something just went wrong overnight.

Estimated loss to the structure is $30,000, while contents is $134,000, including tools, equipment, the Trailblazer, and three other vehicles that were also inside of the building.
