Easton Police Arrest 3 After Armed Robbery

EASTON, Md. -  Easton Police say they arrested three men after an armed robbery yesterday.

According to reports, Easton Police were on patrol in the area of Park Street near August Street, when they saw a disoriented male lying on the ground, showing signs that he had been severely beaten. Police then saw three other males leaving the immediate area that had started to run after seeing police.

Police say an ambulance was called for the victim, and after a short foot pursuit, the three male suspects were detained. All of them reportedly had belongings of the victim, and police eventually found a handgun in the area that the men were running. Police say after conducting an investigation, they learned that the victim had been robbed at gunpoint and was allegedly beaten by the three males that ran from the area.

Police reportedly secured the victim's property from he three males and arrested them. They are identified as Brian Brown, 29, of Easton, Croian Freeman, 28, of Easton, and Antwuane Sewell, 24, who is homeless. All were reportedly formally processed at the police department and were charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Robber, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Use of a Handgun While Committing a Felony, and Theft Less Than $1,000.

Sewell was allegedly wanted by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Department on an arrest warrant that formally charged him with Violating Lifetime Sex Offender Supervision, Failing to Register as Sex Offender By Giving False Information, and Failing to Notify Agency of Sex Offender Status. Police say Sewell was remanded to the Talbot County Detention Center on a no bond designation.

Freeman was allegedly remanded to the Talbot County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond, and Brown was remanded to the Talbot County Detention Center on a bond of $175,000. Police say all three await trial in this matter, and Sewell also awaits trial on the charges formally sworn against him on the arrest warrant, which was also served by Easton Police.
