Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say they have arrested an Easton man involved in a drug operation in Talbot County.

According to reports, the Easton Police Department's Special Operations Division conducted an undercover drug operation in Talbot County on October 17th. A drug transaction was reportedly scheduled between Celestino Jesus Cruz-Reyes and a confidential source. Reyes was allegedly bringing a large quantity of powder cocaine to Talbot County. Santiago Martinez-Herrera reportedly transported Reyes to Talbot County with the cocaine. As Reyes and Herrera arrived at the location, troopers say they were intercepted and found to be in possession of 74.9 grams of powder cocaine, an estimated street value of $6000, $1,315 in US currency, and a 2006 Dodge Charger.

Troopers say on November 14th, the case was presented to a Grand Jury who in turn issued indictments for Reyes and Herrera.  They were both reportedly charged with Attempted Distribution of CDS, Possession With Intent to Distribute CDS, Conspiracy, and Possession of CDS.

On November 23rd, troopers say Reyes was arrested on the indictment and held in the Talbot County Detention Center on no bond status. There is reportedly an active indictment for Herrera and police are actively seeking his whereabouts.
