SALISBURY, Md. - A Wicomico County man, involved in a Fruitland armed drug robbery was in court for his sentencing today. 21-year-old Ross Stephens will spend 15 years behind bars for his involvement in a May 18th, 2013 armed robbery on Elizabeth Street. In October, Stephens' younger brother Gavin, an eagle scout, was sentenced to eight years for the same crime.

Stephens' attorney, John Phoebus, says "to have 2 brothers involved in something is very upsetting to the family, they understand and respect the decision that the court made in terms of the sentenced that was imposed. Judge Seton today from the bench said that she saw there was potential in Ross to turn his life around."

Stephens received the mandatory minimum of five years, for using a firearm in a crime of violence. He will not be eligible for parole until serving at least half of his sentence.
