Information Sought After Reported Robbery Of Delivery Person In Lewes

LEWES, Del. - Police are looking for three suspects after they allegedly robbed a food delivery person on Monday night in Lewes. Delaware State Police say around 9:45 PM they met with a Papa Johns pizza delivery person said that he had been assaulted and robbed while delivering to an address in Henlopen Landing.

The delivery person says he arrived at the Ocean Reach Drive home, noticed a "for sale" sign out front, walked up to the front door, and rang the doorbell. According to the report, as he was waiting three males ran towards him, one grabbed him, and threw him to the ground as he tried to flee.

Police say the suspect then punched the victim in the head, while the other two suspects went through his pockets. All three reportedly fled towards Lewes-Georgetown Highway with the victim's wallet and cell phone, along with an undisclosed amount of cash and the pizza. Police say the victim was slightly injured in the altercation, but did not require immediate medical attention.

Suspect one is described as an unarmed black male, 20-25-years-old, 5' 10" - 6' 2" tall, with a thin build, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans. Suspect two is described as an unarmed black male, 20-25-years-old, 5' 10" - 6' tall, with a thin build, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Suspect three is only described as an unarmed black male.
