MD State Police Arrest Preston Man For Drug-Related Charges

HEBRON, Md. - Maryland State Police say a traffic stop this morning led to a drug arrest.

According to reports, shortly after 10:00 AM, Maryland State Police stopped a vehicle driven by Charles Spence, 41, of Preston, for a speeding violation. The vehicle was allegedly stopped on Route 50 East at Old Railroad Road in Hebron. Troopers say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Troopers say Spence was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was reportedly released and is awaiting a trial date.
