Worcester Co. Sheriff's Office Investigate Hit-And-Run In Berlin

BERLIN, Md. - The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says they are still looking for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run yesterday.

According to reports, at around 5:45 PM, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office responded to Stephen Decatur Highway, in the are of the Frontiertown Campground, for a reported pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The victim was reportedly able to get himself off the roadway and call 9-1-1.

The victims says he was walking north on the shoulder of Stephen Decatur Highway when he was struck from behind by a vehicle, but was unable to provide any further information, except that the vehicle continued north on the highway. Deputies say there were no witnesses at the accident, but from evidence recovered at the scene, they were able to determine that the suspect was driving a dark red GM passenger car. The car reportedly has a missing passenger side mirror and possible passenger side damage.
