Guerrero Preps For Brown Fight

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md - Alexis Guerrero is fighting his next opponent on the 22nd of November in Dover.

"His opponent is Galen Brown. He's been around a long time. He's got tremendous amount of experience. He knows how to win," says Hal Chernoff, coach of Guerrero.

Although Alexis is not too concerned with his opponent, his coach says that Guerrero needs to stay focused mentally.

"I think the mental aspect is the first thing you need to train because that affects all the training that comes behind that," says Chernoff.

Alexis also knows the importance of focus as well. Even after the speed bags, focus mitts, and abdominal training, Guerrero agrees that the most important component of boxing is the drive and determination.

"Boxing is hard. Especially when you don't get a fight and you're just training. Sometimes I feel like I want to quit but the thing that keeps me staying is my coach and my daughter," says Guerrero.
