MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware State police have arrested two women after cocaine and heroin were found in a car during a traffic stop.

It happened about 2 p.m. Thursday on Route 1 in Middletown. Police say a trooper stopped a car after an alleged traffic violation.

Officers say a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a plastic bag containing 170 grams of cocaine and 515 grams of heroin in a jacket in the truck of the car. Detectives estimate the drugs are worth nearly $70,000.

Thirty-five-year old Javona Smith of Chesapeake, Va., and 40-year-old Sherita Nicks of New York City were each charged with possession of a controlled substance and conspiracy.
