Talbot County Murder Suspect Trial Set For Spring 2014

Posted: Updated:

TALBOT CO., Md. - It looks like the 17 year-old Saint Michaels teen accused of murder will have to wait more than five months before he stands trial for the death of 18 year old Samuel Cross.

Thursday, Matthew Mikowski was in court for his pre-trail hearing.  A Talbot County Circuit Court judge set a tentative start date for the ten day trial on April 30, 2014.

According to police reports, Mikowski strangled Cross to death back in June, and the body was later moved to another location in Talbot County.

The teens had reportedly been using the drug L-S-D that night.

Mikowski is being charged with Second Degree Murder, Reckless Endangerment, Second Degree Assault, and four counts of distribution of a controled dangerous substance (LSD).
