Information Sought On Dover Home Invasion Suspects

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - Police are looking for 4 or 5 suspects who allegedly assaulted a man during a Dover home invasion.

Delaware State Police say a 19-year-old man went into the garage of his Boxton Court home, and while the door was still up, 4 or 5 males came into the garage and started assaulting the victim, and demanded money and drugs.

According to the report, the suspects then forced the victim, along with his 14-year-old sister, who was asleep in her bed, into the basement of the home, while they took electronics including computers, flat screen Tvs, and cell phones, before fleeing the Lakeshore Village home.

The male victim was slightly injured, but refused medical treatment, while the 14-year-old victim was reportedly not hurt in the incident. Police say their investigation shows that the victim was targeted, that this reported home invasion was not a random act.

The suspects are described as 4 - 5 black males, wearing dark colored clothing and black masks with gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective S. Horsman at 302-741-2826 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted to the DSP Mobile Crime App, texting DSP to CRIMES (274637), or by visiting the TipSubmit website.
