Posted: Updated:

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police have arrested a convicted felon after they say officers found a loaded shotgun in his home.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired about 1 a.m. Saturday. Police say a home was damaged by gunshots and the door was open.

Police say officers entered the home and encountered 39-year-old Nakia Miller. Authorities say Miller was not armed, but police found a loaded 20-gauge shotgun and several boxes of assorted ammunition.

Miller was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
