BALTIMORE, Md. - On the day people across the nation say "thank you" to the millions of military members, a new plan surfaces to help Maryland veterans.
The five-piece plan, released by Democratic gubernatorial candidate and current lieutenant governor Anthony Brown looks at ways to make life easier for troops returning home.
Among the possible legislation includes creating a treatment court for veterans, which the plan says will "prevent homelessness" and "make sure veterans get treatment for mental health and addiction-related problems."
