GEORGETOWN, Del. - A Georgetown couple has been charged after they apparently were running an illegal convenience store out of their home.

Delaware Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement say 66-year-old Alicia Lopez and 80-year-old Graciano Lopez, were selling alcoholic beverages out of their Lantern Lane home, without a license. During their investigation agents were reportedly able to buy alcohol at the home.

On Thursday, DATE and Georgetown Police searched the home, and found that it was also operating an unlicensed convenience store, with beverages, food, and personal items, along with a restaurant. Officials seized $1,330 in cash, and various brands of beer.

Alicia Lopez was charged with selling alcohol without a license, and released on $250 bail. Graciano Lopez was charged with selling alcohol without a license, illegal storage of alcohol, and carry on a business without a license. He was released on $750 bail.
