MILLSBORO, Del. - Local government officials are weighing in on the Affordable Healthcare Act. Friday, WMDT caught up with Senator Tom Carper who shared his thoughts about the new system.
"It brings down prices it gets better choices for health care it'll work its a good idea. Is the start up pretty? No, its not. Its a lousy start up. But it'll get better just like the Medicare Part D program seven years ago," he said.
Carper also tells us that the enrollment numbers released earlier this week appear to be inaccurate. The report said that only four Delawareans have enrolled for affordable healthcare, but Carper says at least 50 have and many more have created applications
