CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A Cambridge woman is accused of failing to provide her pets with proper care.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says they served 44-year-old Saadia Wongus after an October 4th incident where Dorchester County Dog Control went to her Oakley Street home, to check on the welfare of animals there.
According to the report, officials found four dogs that needed medical attention, so Dog Control seized them, and took them to a treatment facility.
Wongus was charged with 4 counts of animal cruelty, 4 counts of failure to provide food, water, and shelter, and 1 count of failure to retain a dangerous dog. A hearing has been scheduled for December 2nd, at Dorchester County District Court. The dogs are still being treated for their ailments at this time.
