Troopers Investigate Robbery Near Newark Old Country Buffet

NEWARK, Del.- Delaware State Police say they are investigating a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Old Country Buffet, at 1325 Churchman's Road, on Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 4:40 PM on Friday when a black male suspect approached a 25-year-old male victim from behind as he was walking through the parking lot.  The suspect reportedly threatened to stab the victim if he didn't turn over his money, grabbed him from behind, and had an unknown type knife held to his neck.  The victim allegedly complied and turned over an undetermined amount of cash and his cell phone. Troopers say the suspect then fled on foot towards Churchman's Road, and the victim was uninjured during this incident.

Troopers describe the suspect as a black male, between 20 and 25 years of age, about 6'00" tall, and between 190 and 220 pounds. He reportedly has a large build, was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a "Scream" mask covering his face. He is allegedly armed with an unknown type knife.
