Troopers Investigate Robbery of Bear Area Rite Aid

BEAR, Del. -  Delaware State Police say they are investigating a robbery of the Rite Aid on 701 Governors Place, that occurred yesterday afternoon.

According to reports, the incident occurred at 5:15 PM on Saturday when a white male suspect entered the store and approached the cash register.  The suspect reportedly threatened to shoot the 20-year-old female cashier if she did not turn over the money.  Although no weapon was displayed, the victim allegedly complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled out of the business toward the Kmart.

Troopers say no one was injured during this incident. The suspect is described as a white male, between 18 and 22 years of age, between 5'04" and  5'06" tall, and approximately 140 -150 pounds. He reportedly has a thin build, was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a black t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, black shoes, and a Navy colored baseball cap.
