Local National Park To See Sandy Recovery Money

BERLIN, Md. - Much has been talked about in the last year about major funding going towards rebuilding the towns torn up by Hurricane Sandy. Now, you can add national parks and Assateague National Seashore to that list. Officials announced $162 million for 45 research and restoration projects to better protect Atlantic Coast communities from future storms. Assateague will be apart of four projects, including storm surge forecasting and oyster reef restoration.
